Who We Are
Central Africa Healthcare Organization (CAHO) is an independent United States 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in 1990 to support the medical work of the global Free Methodist Church in central Africa and Haiti.
OUR MISSION
To support, promote, and facilitate Christian health care through partnership with hospitals and clinics affiliated with the global Free Methodist Church, primarily those in central Africa and Haiti.
OUR VISION
The internationalization of medical ministry at CAHO-affiliated hospitals and clinics, bringing Christ-followers of multiple nationalities, ethnicities, denominations, and skills together to provide quality care in the name of Christ to all who have need regardless of ability to pay.
GOVERNANCE
Organizational oversight is provided by an eleven-member board of directors, the majority of whom have experience in overseas health care or health care institutions. CAHO is an all-volunteer organization no paid staff.
Support for administrative costs is raised separately, and 100% of funds are used for designated projects.
CAHO is an accredited member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.
